Installation

Prerequisites

• An active Figma account (free or paid plan)
• Access to Figma Desktop or Figma Web (figma.com)

Step 1 — Find the plugin

Go to the plugin page on the Figma Community:

1. Open Figma Desktop or figma.com
2. In the main search bar, type “Données FR”
3. Click on the Plugins tab in the results
4. Select Données FR — Realistic French data

Step 2 — Install

On the plugin page in the Community:

1. Click the “Try it out” or “Install” button
2. Figma shows a confirmation: “Données FR has been added to your plugins”
3. The plugin is now available in all your Figma files

Step 3 — Launch the plugin

In any Figma file:

1. Right-click on the canvas, or open the Plugins menu (puzzle icon)
2. Search for “Données FR” in your plugin list
3. Click to launch — the interface opens in a side panel

Keyboard shortcut

After the first launch, you can quickly access the plugin via Menu > Plugins > Recent or using the quick search (Ctrl+/ on Windows, Cmd+/ on Mac).

Step 4 — First use

1. Select a text node on your canvas (click on it)
2. In the Données FR panel, choose a category (e.g. First name)
3. Click the category button
4. The text node is instantly replaced with realistic French data

Updates

Plugin updates are deployed automatically by Figma. You don’t need to do anything — the latest version is always active on the next launch.

Uninstalling

1. Go to your Figma profile > Plugins
2. Find Données FR
3. Click the three dots ··· > Uninstall

Troubleshooting

If the plugin doesn’t appear after installation, try:

• Close and reopen the Figma file
• Check that the plugin is listed under Plugins > Manage plugins
