Batch mode

Batch mode lets you fill multiple text nodes simultaneously with different values, without processing them one by one.

When multiple text nodes are selected and a category is chosen in the plugin, each node receives an independent value drawn randomly from the same category.

For example, if you select 5 name rows in a contact list and click First + Last name, each row gets a different name — no repeated values.

Method 1 — Shift+click

  1. Click the first text node
  2. Hold Shift and click each additional node
  3. Selected nodes appear highlighted in blue in Figma

Method 2 — Frame selection (Ctrl+A / Cmd+A)

  1. Click the frame or component containing your text nodes
  2. Press Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select all child elements
  3. The plugin automatically detects text nodes among the selection and ignores other node types (rectangles, images, etc.)

Method 3 — Drag to select

  1. Click and drag to create a selection area encompassing multiple text nodes
  2. Release — all nodes within the area are selected

Once multiple nodes are selected:

  1. Open the Données FR plugin (if not already open)
  2. Click the desired category (e.g. Full address)
  3. All selected text nodes are instantly filled with different values

You have a table with 8 rows with columns “First name”, “Last name”, “Email”, “Phone”:

  1. Select all cells in the “First name” column (8 nodes)
  2. Click First name → 8 different first names are inserted
  3. Repeat for each column

You have 6 identical cards each with a name and email:

  1. Select the 6 “name” nodes (Shift+click in the layers panel)
  2. Click First + Last name → 6 different names
  3. Select the 6 “email” nodes
  4. Click Email → 6 different emails

You have a SEPA prototype form with IBAN and SIRET fields to fill for the demo:

  1. Select the IBAN fields (multiple component instances)
  2. Click French IBAN → each field gets a different fictitious IBAN

Batch mode works on component instances: if a component contains a text node named “name”, you can select multiple instances and the plugin will fill each one’s “name” node with a different value.
