Terms of Service

Version 1.0 — effective from launch

Article 1 — Scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the relationship between the publisher of the Données FR Figma plugin (“Publisher”) and any individual or legal entity who has acquired a licence or subscribed to the Premium plan of the plugin (“Customer”).

Données FR is a plugin for the Figma platform that generates realistic French placeholder data (first names, last names, addresses, fictitious numbers) for the exclusive purpose of mockup and prototyping. It is a digital product distributed via the Figma Community.

By accessing the Premium plan or making a payment, the Customer accepts these Terms without reservation.

Article 2 — Product description

2.1 Free plan. The plugin is available free of charge on the Figma Community. The Free plan includes access to all data categories, with batch mode limited to 10 nodes per action.

2.2 Premium plan. The Premium plan is a paid subscription that unlocks:

Unlimited batch mode
“Person coherence” feature
Priority access to new data categories
Dedicated email support

2.3 Digital product. Données FR is a digital product. Once Premium access is activated, the right of withdrawal does not apply, provided the Customer has expressly acknowledged this exception before finalising payment.

Article 3 — Pricing and payment

3.1 Price. The Premium plan is offered at the price displayed on the plugin page at the time of subscription.

3.2 Payment. Payment is processed via LemonSqueezy (Merchant of Record), which acts as an authorised reseller and handles invoicing, applicable VAT based on the Customer’s country, and tax compliance.

3.3 Invoicing. A compliant invoice is issued by LemonSqueezy and sent to the email address provided at subscription. The Publisher does not directly process payment information.

Article 4 — Subscription and renewal

4.1 Duration. The Premium subscription is monthly or annual depending on the option chosen at subscription.

4.2 Auto-renewal. The subscription automatically renews at expiry unless cancelled by the Customer beforehand. LemonSqueezy sends a reminder email 7 days before the annual renewal date.

4.3 Cancellation by the Customer. The Customer may cancel their subscription at any time from the LemonSqueezy management portal accessible via the link in billing emails. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no pro-rata refund is made for the period already paid.

4.4 Cancellation by the Publisher. The Publisher reserves the right to terminate Premium access in the event of a serious and uncorrected breach of these Terms, after notice remaining without effect for 15 days.

Article 5 — Fictitious data — specific limitation of liability

5.1 Nature of generated data. Administrative data generated by Données FR — in particular SIRET, IBAN, and NIR numbers — are entirely fictitious. They are algorithmically valid (they conform to Luhn, ISO 13616, and mod 97 algorithms) but do not correspond to any registered company, open bank account, or person registered in the RNIPP.

5.2 Permitted use. These data are intended exclusively for mockup, prototyping, and visual demonstration within Figma. Any other use is expressly excluded.

5.3 Prohibited uses. It is strictly forbidden to use data generated by Données FR for:

Any document with legal, administrative, or financial value (invoice, contract, quote, declaration, deed…)
Any process with government bodies, social organisations, or credit institutions
Any communication to third parties presenting them as real data
Any act that could constitute forgery, identity theft, or fraud

5.4 Disclaimer. The Publisher disclaims all liability for direct or indirect damages resulting from use of generated data outside the mockup context. The Customer is solely responsible for the use made of the data produced by the plugin.

5.5 General limitation. Outside the cases referred to in Article 5.3, the Publisher’s liability is limited to the amount of the Premium subscription paid for the period in progress at the time of the claim.

Article 6 — Intellectual property

6.1 Plugin. The Données FR plugin, its code, interface, and algorithms are the exclusive property of the Publisher. Subscribing to the Premium plan grants the Customer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use.

6.2 Source data. First and last names are from INSEE statistical files (Open Licence 2.0 — Etalab). Addresses are from the Base Adresse Nationale (Open Licence 2.0 — Etalab). These data are used in compliance with the conditions of these licences.

6.3 Generated data. Data produced by the plugin in the Customer’s Figma files belongs to the Customer.

7.1 Data controller. The Publisher of Données FR is the controller of personal data collected in connection with Premium subscription management.

7.2 Data collected. The Publisher processes only:

The email address provided at subscription (for invoicing and communications)
Billing data transmitted by LemonSqueezy (transaction reference, country, subscription status)

The Publisher does not collect any data from the Customer’s Figma files or from data generated by the plugin.

7.3 Local storage (clientStorage). The plugin uses Figma’s figma.clientStorage API to locally store user preferences (plan status, interface settings). This data remains in the user’s Figma browser/client and is not transmitted to the Publisher.

7.4 Legal basis. Processing of the billing email is based on contract performance (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

7.5 Sub-processors. LemonSqueezy (payment — UK/EU, DPA available). No sub-processor handles data from Figma files or generated data.

7.6 Retention period. Billing data is retained for 10 years in accordance with French accounting obligations.

7.7 Rights. The Customer may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability by contacting: [email protected]

Article 8 — Service availability

8.1 Figma dependency. The plugin works exclusively within the Figma platform. The Publisher cannot be held liable for service interruptions due to Figma (maintenance, incidents, API changes).

8.2 Updates. The Publisher reserves the right to modify plugin features (adding, modifying, or removing data categories) subject to prior notice to the Customer by email or via the plugin changelog.

Article 9 — Termination

Upon termination of the Premium subscription, the Customer loses access to Premium features at the end of the paid period. The Free plan remains accessible without time limit.

Article 10 — Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable resolution. Failing agreement within 30 days, the dispute will be submitted to the competent court.
